Well done to all students that have participated in rugby fixtures this week.It was a tough week with multiple fixtures and several cup games. Hall cross started the week strong with wins for our year 7, 8/9 and 10/11 teams on Monday at Hunger Hill. The enthusiasm and healthy numbers our juniors are getting to training is paying off with teams starting to develop under the expertise of Mr Goodchild and Mr Jenkins.

Our Senior rugby sides are showing potential but are struggling somewhat with numbers and attending training’s. While individuals are putting in strong performances during fixtures, our lack of structure is costing us come game time.

Lack of training time as a team showed during our fixtures later in the week and cup games. I am very proud of the effort put in by students to keep battling on against well drilled teams. Despite some convincing losses the boys kept trying until the end, represented the school well and showed moments of great promise.

With some more training time we can build on these moments and start to reach our potential as a team and school squad. Lets get stronger numbers to training this week, develop our structure and be better prepared for future fixtures.

Encourage your friends to come and get involved in school rugby no matter their experience everyone is welcome.
