Hall Cross Academy is proud to be involved in the training of new teachers for the profession and offers an outstanding programme of support and learning to trainee teachers. We support trainees from a number of HEIs including Doncaster ITT Partnership and Sheffield Hallam University’s PGCE and BSC programmes.
If you are considering applying for a teacher training programme then we recommend you gain school experience in a school.
The qualifications required for secondary teacher training include the following:
- A degree (or equivalent)
- GCSE English and Maths at grade 4(C) or above, or equivalent qualifications
Funding is available to support some subjects in the training year and subject knowledge enhancement courses are available for anyone requiring one.
