During the Easter holiday, 30 students from the sixth form flew to Austria for a week of skiing and alpine culture.
The Hotel Post in Schwarzach was home for the week. This historic hotel has been in the same family for over 100 years and owner Hansi was very welcoming.

The skiing in St Johann was fantastic and the group enjoyed ideal conditions with blue sky days as well as two good snow showers.
Beginner groups advanced quickly and by the end of the week all students had descended a red run and ventured off piste for some powder turns.
In the evenings students enjoyed Austrian bowling, American pool and they also visited a cafe with traditional taxidermy on the walls. The highlight of apres activity had to be a visit to the historic city of Salzburg.

The week ended with a presentation by the instructors Lowri, Eli and Vaughn. All three instructors were blown away by the progress of the Hall Cross skiers.
Hopefully, we’ll be back next year for more alpine adventuring!
