Informal Performance Evening – Year 12 Theatre Students perform extracts from The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui

Our Year 12 Theatre Studies students will be performing extracts from The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui by Bertolt Brecht. Set in America, the play explores Arturo Ui, a gangster, and his ambitions and eventual success in gaining political power. This is a parable of Hitler’s rise to power.
Performed in a stylised, Epic Theatre fashion, the two extracts will be performed using different approaches that explore multi-role, mixed media and different interpretations of the original text.
The performance takes place in the Drama Studio at Upper School. There is no cost for this event.
