Coronavirus

Dear all,

I hope you are well.

Please can I draw your attention to the following important pieces of information;

From 19 July, Hall Cross will no longer be asked to contact trace if a student tests positive. As with positive cases in any other setting, NHS Test and Trace will work with parents, carers and guardians to identify close contacts. Please see the attached letter that we received from the DfE with further information on how this process will work.

Secondly, for current and future students; the DfE announced on Tuesday 6 July that all schools must once again undertake Covid testing of all students upon their return in September.

In order to begin the new academic year in a seamless manner, I am proposing that testing takes place at the lower school site on Tuesday 31 August and Friday 3 September at the following times:

Year 7: 08:30 – 10:00

Year 8: 10:00 – 11:00

Year 9: 11:00 – 12:00

Year 10: 12:00 – 13:00

Year 11: 13:00 – 14:00

Year 12: 14:00 – 15:00

Year 13: 15:00 – 16:00

If you wish for your child to have a test please complete the consent form below. If you choose not to provide consent then your child, along with the others should return on either 6th (yrs 7 and 12) or 7th September (all other year groups).

If your child is unable to attend, they may take the tests at home if you wish.

Please do not hesitate to contact the email address, coronavirus@hallcrossacademy.co.uk if you require any further clarification.

Thank you, as always, for your support. I wish you an enjoyable summer.

Kind regards

Simon Swain
