Those who might have wondered how we could sustain the brilliance that delivered Les Misérables and Jesus Christ Super Star, the Performing Arts Team deliver an astonishing show in Miss Saigon!
I was moved and humbled by the quite remarkable performances, stunning choreography, slick stage management, musicianship and extraordinary singing.
The cast and crew delivered a professional level production of the highest calibre and everyone involved should be congratulated for the tremendous work and dedication that went into it – such a sophisticated and accomplished “whole”.
At a time when funding for the arts is under pressure, with performing and expressive arts jostling for position in the curriculum, it is a source of great pride for me that Hall Cross is providing such opportunity for some of the most gifted young people I have come across to show-case their talents.
They should all be so proud of themselves, in coming together, from the youngest to the oldest students in school, creating such a mutually supportive team feeling. It’s been a very special, if exhausting time for everyone involved and given joy (and tears) to the audience.
The opening night of the Hall Cross Academy 2017 whole school production 2017 ‘Miss Saigon’ was a roaring success! Staff and parents from across the Hall Cross community have been sending their congratulations to the entire cast!
“A stellar performance! We were amazed and awestruck by it!” Mrs Wilkinson, Hall Cross History Department
“Incredible!” PE Teacher from Penistone Grammar School
“Huge congratulations! We loved it!” Miss Guest, Hall Cross Technology Department
