KS3 Boys Impress in a Dance Workshop With CAPA College

Author: P PorterPosted: 9th January 2020 15:35

On Thursday 5th December, 25 boys from years 8 and 9 participated in a physical, contemporary dance workshop with inspiring teachers from CAPA College in Wakefield. All the boys showed focus and determination throughout the two hour session and it was amazing to see so many talented, male dancers in one space!

The boys learnt exciting, high-energy phrases, including a challenging contact phrase, and were then asked to create something using the skills they had developed in the session.

The instructors, Sean and Luke, were very impressed with our students, with Luke commenting that this was his favourite school of all the ones they have visited!

Special mention goes to the Chad Clayton, Jayden Cuniff, Ethan Dennett, Modekai Gwamba, Harry Henshaw, Mateusz Kowalski, Logan Masakidi, Leo Rudd, Thomas Walsh, Milosz Wenc, Frankie Wilson and Sam Wood who were ‘spotted’ during the workshop. These boys have been asked to audition for CAPA’s all-male dance company; CHARGE.

Well done to everyone who participated!
