About the Course
GCSE Design and Technology: Product Design enables students to design and make products with creativity and originality, using a range of materials and techniques. Packaging, labelling and instructions are encouraged as part of the complete design proposal and advertising, points of sale can be used to supplement the making experience and help create products which can be evaluated for their commercial viability.

Your Future
We will accept grades A* – B at GCSE to be able to continue to study at AS level. We study with the AQA Exam Board and the exam at AS and A2 is 50% with 50% Controlled Assessment. Pupils who have an A level in Product Design can then study a wide range of degree courses or complete apprenticeships. Our pupils who have studied Product Design have found a wide variety of jobs in areas such as architecture, product design, graphic design, marketing, packaging and interior design.
