Beyond the Classroom

The Physical Education department seek to recruit students who enjoy academic challenge and learning about relevant and topical subject matter. We encourage our students to research developments and learn about further opportunities to study and gain employment after A levels. We achieve this by offering: Higher Education trips that inform students about studying a sport-related course at degree level; educational trips that support the curriculum; leadership opportunities working with our lower school students and primary feeder schools; an enrichment programme in which students can compete in a variety of sports representing Hall Cross Academy Sixth Form. At Hall Cross Academy, we ‘go the extra mile’ and are proud of our department for the opportunities and experiences that we provide for our young people.
