About the Course

The GCSE ICT course allows students to explore how digital technology impacts on the lives of individuals, organisations and society in a practical way.  The course aims to provide you with a knowledge and understanding of current and emerging technologies and the issues raised by their use.  This allows students to develop awareness of the risks that are inherent in using ICT and the features in a safe, secure and responsible way.

Your Future

We will accept grades A* - B at GCSE to be able to continue to study at A level.  The A level course is 100% coursework based.  The course builds upon the skills and concepts that are studied at GCSE but are taught in a more applied context.  ICT is a very popular subject at A level and demand for the course is high.  Many of our students go on to study ICT based subjects at degree level.  Our pupils who have studied ICT have found a wide variety of jobs in areas such as teaching, web design, technicians and support staff, graphic design.
