Old Danensians

The Old Danensians’ Club is an Association open to all students, former students and staff of the school – not only the present Hall Cross Academy but also the former Doncaster Grammar School, Doncaster Girls’ High School and Hall Cross School.

Founded in 1928 the Club welcomes members of all ages and provides former students with a means of keeping in touch with one another and with the school.

There are opportunities to meet and reminisce with students, former students and staff at the Club’s events which include annual dinners held in Doncaster each July and London in March and lunches at an Oxford College.

The Club is always represented at the school’s annual remembrance service as well at other events in the school’s calendar.

Newsletters are circulated to members to provide information on the Club’s activities, news of the school and news of individual members.

The Old Danensians’ links with and support for the school are further cemented by the prizes and awards for students which are funded both by the Club and by some individual members.  There are not only the awards presented in school but also a range of funds and medals and prizes designed to support and recognise the efforts and achievements of Hall Cross students.
